In this hands-on workshop, participants will get an overview of tools, wood best suited for carving, sharpening and getting right into a carved piece to take home. A basswood blank and the basic carving tools needed will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring their own tools if the have them.

Artist Bio: Kevin has been carving most of his life as a hobby but has committed in the last five years to doing commissions and teaching classes. He has carved public pieces in parks in the Rochester area and numerous architectural pieces in private homes. His most recent interest is in Norwegian carvings, portals, relief and ale bowls.
