MARCH FEATURED ARTIST OF THE MONTH: LIBBY UNGAR

Each month we feature a area artist in our Depot Shop - our April featured artist is Libby Ungar. Come meet the artist during an Artist Demo & Jewelry Trunk Show on Saturday, April 18 from 12-4 pm!

During this pop-up Libby will demonstrate how she creates her jewelry through meticulous needleweaving - building intricate patterns with glass beads and fine thread. Shop additional jewelry designs that Libby will only have during this event.

Libby Ungar has been a Hastings resident for over thirty years and has been beading for most of those years. She retired in 2011 from a St. Paul nonprofit and has continued her passion for nonprofits as a performer, volunteer, and founding Board member for Hastings’ Black Dirt Theater. Libby served on the board of the Hastings-Prescott Arts Council and worked to establish HPAC’s Prescott-based art gallery — the Orange Dragon Art Gallery — which she managed as a volunteer for almost seven years.

Libby is married to a fellow artist, Bob (whom she calls The Most Excellent Bob). She has two grown children (Chriss and Cooper), three grandchildren (Ryan, Aubrey and Ethan), and two great-grandchildren (Kane and Drake).
