Our 2026 event features 25 Poets and 25 Artists participating in an art exhibit, poetry readings, and published in a chapbook featuring all artwork and poetry of the participants.
From the poems chosen, participating artists create a new piece of art inspired by one of the poems. The joy and challenge of this event is the translation of the emotion and story of the written words of a poet by an artist into a representative piece of art.

Lutz divides her time between the family farm, giving tours at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, and traveling. Visit her at jeannelutz.com.
James Turner is a watermedia artist with more than 25 years’ experience, who has entered and been accepted (and rejected) from multiple local and national shows. He has achieved signature status in several organizations including the American Watercolor Society and the National Watercolor Society.
He paints traditional studio-based watercolor on paper and works in and teaches painting on YUPO. He participates in plein air events, with significant success (and often failure).
