Clay Sampler: Glazing Techniques

  • Red Wing Arts 436 West 3rd ST Red Wing, MN 55066 (map)

In this class geared toward those with little or no experience with glazing pottery, participants will learn about various Cone 6 (mid-fire) glazes and how to use them safely and effectively. We will discuss the difference between glazes, underglazes and stains and how they can be used together to decorate your pottery. Students will be provided with bisque-fired pots that are ready to glaze. Students can expect to glaze 2-3 bowls and several test tiles. Can be taken along with the other classes in the Clay Sampler series or as a stand alone class!
