Pot Holder from Recycled Textiles with Kirsten Wert

  • Red Wing Arts 436 West 3rd Street Red Wing, MN 55066 (map)

Join us for a creative and eco-friendly art workshop that breathes new life into a beloved childhood activity! In "Pot Holder with Recycled Textiles," we'll revisit the simple joy of weaving, but with a modern twist: using recycled t-shirts. This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to blend nostalgia with sustainability, as we transform old, unused t-shirts into vibrant, functional pot holders.

Under the guidance of our passionate instructor, who is dedicated to reducing textile waste, you'll learn how to cut, prepare, and weave fabric strips into beautiful pot holders. Not only will you walk away with a unique, handmade piece, but you'll also gain valuable insights into the environmental impact of textile waste and how small, creative efforts can contribute to a more sustainable planet.
