A Spiritual Dive into Hahawakpa and Land of My Oyate: Explorations in Native Material Culture by Natasha Roozen
“Through many mediums and natural materials, I honor the river and my people, weaving memory, healing, and culture into art.”
This exhibition is a journey through spirit, memory, and land, tracing the sacred relationship between the Dakota people and the Mississippi River, Hahawakpa. Through natural materials, traditional forms, and contemporary vision, these works honor the enduring presence of Dakota culture and the stories carried throughout our land.
There will be a reception on Wednesday, October 29th from 6-7pm with a capstone presentation by Natasha.
This work is on display at our Clay & Creative Center and can be viewed during office hours (Tue-Fri 9am-5pm) and select evening and weekends. Please call ahead to ensure we are open and available when you’d like to see the show. 651-309-4980.
