Artist & Author, Kevin Thurk, will share his experiences on successfully applying for and participating in art festivals across the country. Director of Stockholm Art Fair, Matt Palmer, will provide helpful suggestions for aspiring festival artists from a festival organizer’s perspective.

Kevin Thurk is an award-winning nature photographer, specialized in capturing the beauty of wildlife and nature in North America. Additionally, he is the author of the beloved children's book series, “Find Freddy The Fox”, which utilizes his photos.
His goal with photography is to capture those extraordinary wildlife encounters — freezing it to be shared and re-lived over and over again. At festivals Kevin sells his items in Print, canvas, and acrylic, and has an interactive Find and Seek display to teach kids about wildlife.
Matt Palmer is an artist who specializes in assemblage sculpture repurposing old, used or obsolete items into functional and conceptual pieces. His sculptures are often lamps or lighting and lately, his focus has shifted toward communicating ideas through his sculptures while maintaining its functional artistry.
With over 18 years of experience, he began his creative journey making jewelry alongside his wife at the time. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience selling at art fairs across multiple states and beyond.
For the last five years, Matt has been an integral part of the Stockholm Art Fair committee and has directed the last three events. He oversees the logistics of bringing a large audience to a small town, working alongside a dedicated committee of artists to support exhibitors and create a memorable experience for attendees.
