Apr 8 ARTSpeak - Artwork Critique and Networking

Would you like to connect with area creatives? Do you have a work in progress, or artwork idea you’d like feedback on? Then this event is for you! Acclaimed artist and educator, Juliane Shibata, will lead our critique for this session.

Join us in our Depot Gallery from 6-8 pm on Apr 8 for a facilitated artwork critique and networking session - offered at no cost - which supports both emerging and established artists.


Juliane Shibata is a ceramic artist and educator based in Northfield, MN. She received her MFA from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and was awarded a 2021 McKnight Artist Fellowship for Ceramic Artists and Artist Initiative grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board in 2014, 2018, and 2020. Juliane received the Tile Heritage Prix Primo award at the 23rd Annual San Angelo National Ceramic Competition and first place in the 62nd Arrowhead Regional Biennial. She has been a resident artist at Oak Spring Garden Foundation, Starworks Center, Art Omi: Artists, The Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen, China, and the College of Biological Sciences Conservatory & Botanical Collection at the University of Minnesota. Her installations have been commissioned by, among others, Abbott Northwestern Hospital and the Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis.


Red Wing Arts is pleased to announce the relaunching our monthly ArtSpeak artist professional development program in 2025!

Join us in our Depot Gallery at 6 pm on the 2nd Tuesday of each month for this program - offered at no cost - which supports both emerging and established artists.

Every other month we will offer panel discussions featuring experts on topics which provide business acumen and growth tailored towards artists. Every other month we will host facilitated artwork critique and networking sessions. See details below on each monthly offering.
