Featured on Oct 1: Tom Peschges
Tom Peschges is a singer-songwriter based in Red Wing, Minnesota, known for his engaging storytelling and authentic voice. He performs both as a solo artist and as a member of The Double Down Daredevils, a Bluegrass/Americana band he co-founded eight years ago with Nathan Fjeld.
As a songwriter, Peschges draws inspiration from celebrated storytellers such as Guy Clark, Verlon Thompson, Shawn Camp, and John Denver. His music reflects a deep appreciation for narrative-driven songwriting, often blending humor with heartfelt insight. While the details of his songs may be shaped by imagination, each piece is grounded in a core truth, aiming to deliver a message that resonates beyond the story itself.
Peschges strives to create songs that feel genuine and meaningful, an approach that has not gone unnoticed. Being described as “authentic” by listeners is, to him, the highest compliment—and one that continues to guide his work as an artist.
