Artists and Arts Administrators, Julie Fakler and Tami Resler will share their experiences on successfully applying for and participating in exhibits and art festivals across the region. They will provide practical suggestions for aspiring artists from an organizer’s perspective.

Julie Fakler has been the Executive Director of the Paradise Center for the Arts (PCA) since 2023 and has held multiple roles at PCA over 14 years: Visual Arts & Education Director, Operations Manager, Member Guest Services, Instructor, and Gallery Committee Chair. A professional artist and arts advocate, she has received several personal grants and secured many grants for PCA. She has served as a SEMAC Board Member and Advisory Panelist, and been on the Studio ARTour planning committee, Faribault Tourism Board, Historic Downtown Committee, BNI, and Downstream Film Leadership Committee.
Tami Resler has been making fun, accessible pottery and sculpture for over two decades, alongside a career in non-profit fundraising. As President and Co-Founder of the Straight River Arts Festival Tami strives to create a community art festival and thriving Arts Organization.
