In this class we will design our own monster and create a Monster Mug perfect for sipping Witch’s Brew (or cocoa!) First we will do a rough sketch of our monster, choosing features such as eyes, teeth, fur or scales, horns or ears. Then we will build the mug using slab and coil handbuilding techniques. Students will learn how to properly attach features to make the monster’s face. Students can then paint their creations with colorful glazes. Mugs will be fired in the kiln by the instructor and will be ready for pick up in approximately 3 weeks.
