Her research centers on the effects of nuclear energy production on community health. Sarah will read poems inspired by her research and experience.
Su Love is the author of six books of poetry including The Memoir of Mona Lisa. Her poetry has been recognized with distinguished awards and international publications. Su will read from a new sequence of poems inspired by her dad’s essay about his participation in the 1958 nuclear test series and her research into its systemic and ongoing effects in Minnesota.
Su Love is a fiscal year 2023 recipient of a Creative Support for Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature; and by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
