Prior attendees are invited to attend this final working session to complete their pieces to be included in the exhibition.
Slow stitch a remembrance for someone who you have lost through death. You will bring a small token from your loved one, and we will create a very personal, stitched memorial piece. As we design and stitch, we will exchange stories and memories and bring beauty to the sadness. Examples of tokens include buttons, textiles, keys, game pieces, etc. Please, no photographs.
No experience skills are necessary.
Design, layout, color, hand sewing, and embroidery stitches will be taught.
Most supplies provided.
Information and further details will be emailed to you prior to the workshop.
Your piece, along with a collection of textile pieces by Dawn Zero Erickson, will be exhibited at the Red Wing Arts Gallery from October 25th to December 23rd, 2024. Pieces will be returned following the exhibition.
