“The Gaia Series” by Marion Angelica | Jan 8-18, 2026

On view in the Veeder Gallery, this series of ceramic works is inspired by Marion’s fascination with rocks, particularly their cracks and crevices. Featuring porcelain vessels that, while reminiscent of rock-like formations, are designed to be enjoyed in the home for entertaining and daily life.

Marion hopes that people can value and feel a connection to Gaia, our natural world, even when we are in our human-designed homes or workplaces. The exteriors of her vessels are stained with iron and other natural minerals and the interiors are glazed. All the work is food-safe yet still carries the natural feeling of our home, the spinning rocky planet Earth.
