Discover the vibrant world of glass art in this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop. Fused glass is the process of joining different pieces of glass together by melting them in a kiln. Join local artist Gerie Thelen as she guides you through the basics of glass "layering" and design through colorful arrangements. In this session, you will create a fused glass night light with either a floral or abstract design.
All materials are included in the participation fee. Work will be fired off-site and available for pick up approximately 3 weeks after the workshop.

About the Artist: Everyone has a story to tell...and each of our stories is important... For some reason, my stories do not come out in words; but when I work with glass...my heart sings & the glass talks to me. Each piece of glass I create is formed in my heart and is produced with great love. My designs include two-dimensional pieces, sculptures, and installations, and honor the significance of women's hands in the history of art and design.
