Introduction to Relief Printing

  • Red Wing Arts Clay & Creative Center 436 W 3rd St Red Wing, MN 55066 (map)

Discover the bold, graphic imagery of relief printmaking in this beginner-friendly class. Students will learn the fundamentals of carving, inking, and stamping using linoleum blocks to create their own original prints. Explore how line, shape, and contrast come together to create striking images, and experiment with printing on paper to produce a small series of hand-pulled prints. By the end of class, you’ll leave with finished artwork, a reusable carved block, and the skills to continue printing at home. No prior experience is necessary!
