As part of We Are Human: Figure & Form, join us for an interactive demonstration exploring the intersection of the human body, engineering, and design. Learn how a transfemoral (above-the-knee) prosthetic is created, from the initial test socket to the finished prosthetic, and discover how interchangeable components — from everyday walking feet to specialized running blades — are customized to meet different needs.

Visitors are invited to get hands-on by assembling modular prosthetic components and learning about the technology that supports movement, adaptability, and everyday life. This engaging demonstration offers a unique opportunity to experience another perspective on the human form and the many ways people navigate, shape, and express it. This demonstration is led by orthotics and prosthetics student, Charlie Hooper.
