Block Printing and Box Making, Multi-generational

Join renowned textile artist Dawn Erickson for this festive and hands-on experience! This multi-generational workshop is designed for youth and adults to sign up together. Learn how to block print on paper and fabric using the instructor’s pre-cut designs and then make your own block print. After printing, we will fold your printed paper into boxes that you can use to wrap gifts or give as a gift itself!

$5.00 for supplies payable to the instructor

About the Artist: An Honors Graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Dawn is an independent artist/designer.  Her textile designs have been exhibited extensively throughout the world and are in the permanent collections of the Kyoto Textile Museum in Japan, the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt Museum of Design in New York, and The Art Institute of Chicago as well as numerous private and corporate collections.  Her considerable foreign travel experiences (including Asia, Eastern Europe, India, Russia, Turkey, and former Soviet countries) are evident in her work.

Following her college graduation Dawn moved to New York City where she worked as a Textile Designer.  Later moving to Minnesota, Dawn continues to do fine art as well as textile designs for the home textile industry.  She designs for many companies in the country and around the world, Papyrus-Recycled Greetings, Crate&Barrel, Garnet Hill, Eddie Bauer, Pottery Barn, Ikea of Sweden, TAG, and Target to name just a few.
