SmallTown Strings is who we are. A brother and sister duo from a tiny, rural Washington town. We perform a mix of Folk, Americana, and Indie sounds across nine instruments from box drums to banjos. We thrive on bending genres and having fun while doing it.
Jennifer sang her way across the country with her family's variety act for the first thirteen years of her life. Jennifer continued singing in clubs with 10-piece funk bands, in various cabaret and theater venues, and many more, as a featured vocalist with Augsburg College's Gospel Praise.
Driving the View is a powerpop band hailing from Red Wing, Minnesota. Formed in 2020, the trio consists of Greg Nelson on guitar and vocals, Steve Gustafson on drums and vocals, and Tim Thomas on bass and vocals.
Root River Jam elevates musical improv through the fusion of blues, country, rock, and americana music.
The music is influenced by life experiences of Native people. “Our music celebrates life, the good and bad.” The band has performed across the United States in support of their original recordings.
The locally living and internationally touring duo of guitarist Bruce Hecksel and poet/soulful songstress Julie Patchouli, bring their original guitar compositions, inspiring songs and unique talent to Red Wing for the Concerts in the Park.
Thomas X is an Anishinaabe Hip Hop Artist from the Red Lake Band Ojibwe. Co-founder of Rez Rap Records, Thomas incorporates reservation lifestyle, Native American awareness, and his personal life experiences through pure lyricism.

An all original 70s vibe band, uniquely cross-blending Americana, Pop, Rock and Soul. Featuring powerhouse lead vocals and intricate four-part harmonies, their music is engaging, upbeat and earthy, offering the listener a modern take on classic pop-rock. The songs will take you back to simpler times; a time of dreams, nature and human kindness. The band welcomes you to forget your worries and take a journey with them.
As a veteran, visual artist, dress maker, tattoo artist, carpenter, grandmother and lots of other things, she puts it all on pause to leave home and do some singing. Annie digs being in the moment with people. The past and future don't matter. Just the moment when the music is helping us be coherent together.
With strong influences from Motown, Muscle Shoals, and the Summer of Love, JoJo Green gives a nostalgic feeling to a fresh sound, easy on the ears, and exciting to the body. Listeners are mesmerized by JoJo Green’s powerhouse vocals mixed with agile woodwinds, shredding guitars, funky bass, and driving drums are a surefire crowd pleaser.
The local duo covers a wide range of music from country, hip-hop, mo-town, rock, and 60's through today.
Bringing a mix of musical flavors and combining traditional instruments from South America with Latin rhythms such as Cumbia, Salsa, Folk, Guajira, Latin Rock, and Reggae. The diverse band members are from Chile, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the USA. They invite the community to feel unified and represented by the beautiful and always evolving diversity.
Zone Music Reporter calls Terra Guitarra “one of the top nuevo-flamenco groups in the world,” awarded “Best Instrumental Album of the Year” for Of Sea & Stars. Patchouli is a folk festival headliner and Public Radio favorite with pure, sparkling lead vocals and beautiful harmonies. Their sound, depth and virtuosity is described as “Simon and Garfunkel meets the Gipsy Kings.”
Their shows are known for their contagious energy, with members careening about the stage. With tight soaring three-part harmonies, and thumping kick-drum, they captivate their audience night after night. Every song is a unique twist on what is generally dubbed as folk music.

Strands of folk, rock, pop, and country music can be found in his lyrically-rich songwriting. The stories he tells regard the human experience of life, love, loss and longing for something greater. His music can be found throughout the independent documentary Beyond the Divide, the major studio film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and in the background of countless television shows and campaigns.
Swingin' Texas dance hall music in the tradition of Bob Wills, Milton Brown, Ernest Tubb and Spade Cooley with a sprinkling of Hank Williams and others. Accordion, fiddle, pedal steel and guitar with soulful vocals, all backed by a hard-swingin’ rhythm section. This band has fun and it’s contagious!

Jeremy Messersmith is an indie pop singer-songwriter and one of Minnesota’s most recognized and celebrated artists. A thoughtful, clever lyricist with a tender voice, the Minneapolis-based troubadour crafts songs that are catchy and relatable, and span the emotional gamut from poignancy to whimsy.
The Soul Tight Committee is a ten piece band whose members have found a common love for the old school soul, R & B and dance music, mostly from the 70's. The band's mission: to provide our listeners with the very best soul and dance music in a lively and engaging stage show.
Flipside performs a variety of Americana music...1910 blues to 1980 country. Also 50's 60's pop and rock i.e. Elvis, Dean Martin, etc. Tim Kriese, lead vocals.; Craig Wronski, steel guitar/lead guitar; David Watson, keyboards; Tom Glass, drums.

Amongst the Reeds is an Irish band that specializes in lively traditional tunes as well as sweet ballads and beloved Irish songs. All the players are multi-instrumentalists and singers, and there is sometimes even a little dancing thrown in!
